Founded in 1983 in Portsmouth, the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire relocated to Dover in 2008. It offers a blend of art, science and cultural experiences for families. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to offering access to all children and families by minimizing barriers that prevent fair and meaningful educational and cultural opportunities. Since its inception, the Museum has served over 2 million people from New Hampshire and beyond.
The Children’s Museum is New Hampshire’s most visited educational and cultural institution. In our three years in Dover, the Museum has reached over 280,000 students and families from 110 New Hampshire towns and cities, communities throughout New England, and visitors from all over the world. 50% of our visitors came in free or with reduced admission, and 24% are from underserved audiences.
Chunky’s is the ONLY way to see a movie and here is how it works:
After purchasing your tickets, come have a seat in one of our spacious, comfortable, and UNIQUE theaters. Your seat is a leather, reclining car chair from a Lincoln Town Car, so get prepared to be VERY relaxed!
Once you have chosen your seat, take a peek at our diverse movie- themed menu! We like to brag about our fresh-never frozen, Black Angus Beef Burgers and our select Chicken Love Me Tenders! In fact, everything we do goes into making our hearty meals stand out. Here you’ll find mouth-watering appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts!
You can order before the show starts, and if you’re in the mood for dessert or an extra drink halfway through the movie, no problem! Chunky’s was designed for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
We recommend arriving about 1 hour before your scheduled movie time, so that we may take your order and have it ready by your start time. Feel free to explore this site for current showtimes, upcoming releases, secial events, menu, birthday party information & more! If you’d like to SEE the Chunky’s Experience CLICK HERE to watch our video! Enjoy!
